In August 2008, I started the Jill Lamb Foundation in honor of my friend Jill who lost her 5-year battle with breast cancer. The organization is designed to assist families with breast cancer through financial assistance and through the rendering of services. Additionally, the organization conducts educational outreach on the risks of breast cancer and the various detection methods available.
Families dealing with breast cancer, such as mine and Jill's, should not have to worry about the little things that need to be taken care of. Simple things like dinner or a clean house make a marked impact on their lives.
